Single-use Mixers – Ensuring the Customization, Scalability and Supply Required for Success
Agilitech announces the release of a new podcast that covers Agilitech single-use mixers, published by Downstream Column.
In this podcast, Brandy Sargent, Editor at Cell Culture Dish, talks with Phil Sanders (Chief Innovation Officer) and Dennis Hodgson (Director, Biotech) from Agilitech about the benefits of single-use mixers, dealing with supply chain concerns, ensuring scalability, and tailoring a mixer to meet specific process needs.
According to a market research study, the global single-use bioprocessing market size is expected to surpass USD 52.5 billion by 2030 – expanding at a CAGR of 16.1% from 2021 to 2030. The adoption rate and demand for single-use equipment continues to grow due to the many commercial advantages of single-use technologies.
This podcast touches on both the key drivers for the increased adoption of single-use mixing technologies, as well as customer concerns due to recent supply chain issues with consumables.
Dennis and Phil highlight some of the advantages of their flexible approach to single-use mixers, which gives customers more options to use Agilitech mixers for different applications. Dennis comments, “the industry has gotten too used to there being too few options in the market and perhaps have started to shape their processes to align with what is currently available. At Agilitech, the aim is to shift that perception and put the power back with the end user to define their equipment requirements that meet their process instead of vice versa.” They also discuss how Agilitech’s flexible approach helps to reduce delivery time and drives down cost despite the expanded options.
