David Wolfer
President and CEO
David founded Innovative Engineering Systems in 2002, along with fellow engineer Ben Gough, and has built the company up into a world-class engineering and construction company serving global customers. With 30 years of industry experience behind him, David has led the company on a journey of strategic growth through his impressive entrepreneurial vision and determination. He has successfully navigated the company through mergers and acquisitions (including TSM and ESI), integrating the expertise, strengths and reputations of these companies and their people in order to expand IES’s capabilities to better serve its customers.
David has also grown the company by establishing market-focused divisions such as the Food and Beverage division and Agilitech, the company’s biotech division. David seeks to recruit the most talented, experienced and knowledgeable people to execute his vision of providing quality products and services to clients, and he listens to and empowers his people to create, to innovate, and to trust their instincts. The commitment to quality and integrity that defined IES in the early days continues to shape David’s leadership today. He is wholeheartedly committed to serving the customer, and to keeping his word, and these personal values are reflected throughout every division and team within the company. David is always on the lookout for opportunities to enhance the company’s service offering, to adapt and evolve, to add value in new ways and to serve new sectors, and he has a history of successfully expanding the company into new markets. It is on this solid and formidable foundation that the biotech division is built, and it is this same visionary leadership and personal integrity that will continue to drive the company forward.

- Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer in California and Texas
